In honor of the Golden Globes and the upcoming Oscars, Big Surf has created some movie posters of its own.
Presenting the 1st in a series, “Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus” is the story of two fun-loving friends who take over the Kids’ Fest in Columbia, Missouri to the delight of young folks all around the area. Starring Gil Shark as the hero and Allie Gator as his faithful sidekick, these bosom buddies travel the state looking to encourage families to spend their summer daycations at the funnest place around, Big Surf Waterpark!

Testing today on trying to get our blog uploaded to Facebook automatically and having some difficulty but it looks like we’re up and running now.
I opened a pile of mail today that had nearly completely filled our mailbox on the week were closed. After sorting through the junk and catalogs, I came across a very simple envelope.
A very conscientious customer had returned her locker key after 4 months. What a nice surprise! It was a nice reminder at this mark of the New Year that last summer had many great memories but soon the 2012 season will be upon us when we can make many more.

- New French Drain
Our diligent maintenance crew has installed a French drain in our parking lot to hopefully eliminate some of the damage to our asphalt by water seepage underneath.
And in the meantime, French drains remind me of French hens from the twelve days of Christmas and Christmas reminds me to remind you that you can get your season passes on sale now for $10.00 our regular 2012 prices!

Well, Mike and his crew are at it again. This fall season they are doing extensive refurbishing work on the slide towers at the activity pool. Here’s James hard at work sandblasting the old paint to take the towers down to bare metal.

Here’s a nice pic of the Lazy River getting its annual coating of paint. You can really get a taste of how much the chlorine and sun can fade this in a year’s time.
I just finished an ad for the Lake Life magazine that’s published by the Lake of the Ozarks Visitor and Convention Bureau and I’m getting ready to head off for vacation. See you all next Monday!

Mike and his crew are hard at work winterizing the park. Here’s a picture of him hauling some of the equipment out of the Activity Pool area. This is the water basketball hoop and the Big Squirt refilling station which will go into storage over the winter.
